Choosing a color to paint with

To choose a color, use any of the following methods:

• Select colors directly from the palette in the Palette window by clicking on them.

• Select colors from the Model window by clicking on the area in the model containing the color.

• Select colors from the Painting window with the Copy Paint tool:

Hold down the Shift key to select Copy Paint temporarily. The model you copy the paint from becomes the current model.

• Select colors from the previous drawing by using the See-Thru display mode.

• Use the keyboard to choose colors. To choose a color, just press the key that corresponds to it, as shown in the Palette window.

When you choose a color in the palette, the color you choose is outlined in black and white and appears in the current palette well:
